Statement from NDU President, Major General Fred Padilla, USMC, on the School Attack in Peshawar:

Dear alumni and students of NDU from Pakistan,

On behalf of my staff, the International Student Management Office, and the entire NDU family, I wish to extend my most heartfelt sympathies for the tragedy that unfolded in Peshawar today at the Army Public School.  As we heard that many of the victims have come from multi-generational military families, we feel a special loss for you and your Armed Forces.  If any of you were personally affected by this tragedy, I offer my sincere condolences to your family and loved ones for your loss.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your great nation at this time.  Please know we stand by you and together wish for a more peaceful future.

Sincerely,

Major General Fred Padilla, USMC
