Congratulations on the Graduation of the Class of 2019!

On Thursday, June 13, NDU celebrated the education, development, and success of NDU’s future national security leaders with the graduation ceremony for the class of 2019. General Joseph F. Dunford, Jr., USMC, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was the keynote speaker. He highlighted the importance of senior military members and civil servants, both U.S. and international, leading change in today’s complex security environment. NDU hosted a large audience for the ceremony that consisted of families, staff members, and friends of the graduates. The degrees were conferred by NDU President Vice Admiral Fritz Roegge, USN, NDU Provost Dr. John W. Yaeger (CAPT, USN, Ret.) and the commandants and chancellors of the colleges:

 

108 of the 648 graduates from all four schools were International Fellows and the following were recognized as Distinguished Graduates:

  • Colonel Raymond Farhat, Lebanon
  • Colonel Jan Frederik Geiner, Norway
  • Captain Hauke Lützen, Germany
  • Colonel Eric Vandenberg, Canada
  • Lt. Colonel Elvis Buryomunda, Uganda
  • Lt. Colonel Alou Boi Diarra, Mali
  • Lt. Colonel Jeremy Toze, UK
